When I stumbled across the January 12th issue of the Muse, I was surprised by the angst contained in the letter from “M. Flanders”. I immediately thought that Flanders was overreacting, even though I didn’t see the image of the “blatantly suggestive and extremely distasteful” phallic symbol being sucked in front of the Christmas tree.

As he prepared for his annual journey delivering toys around the world, Santa Claus continued a nearly 30-year tradition of helping Golden Gate firefighters hand out candy canes to all the good little boys and girls in their fire district today.
